Delizia Gelato traces its origins back to Messina, Sicily, where Andrea, the great-grandfather of the current owners, first began making gelato for his bar. With a passion for simple flavours and fresh ingredients, he passed down his secret recipes to his grandson, Orazio. More than a century later, Orazio’s family continues the tradition, crafting and perfecting an ever-growing range of Delizia gelato and sorbet. With four generations dedicated to the art of gelato-making, Delizia delivers a taste that is more than just delicious—it’s a legacy.
Our milk-based gelato, made with recipes passed down through four generations of family, is unrivalled in flavour and quality. The fat content of gelato is less than half the amount found in ice cream resulting in a much more intense flavour.
Delizia sorbet is made from the freshest of fruit and it is the smoothest and creamiest sorbet available on the market. Sorbet is a very refreshing treat – especially in the heat of of a Queensland summer.
We take the finest local ingredients including Queensland grown macadamias, Kensington Pride mangoes, Australian sugar and dairy. We add a lot of love and passion for what we do. Then we combine them using traditional methods handed down through four generations to create the very best gelato and sorbet.
